MNOA Awards Policy and Procedure

The Missouri Narcotic Officer’s Association is proud to present awards in four categories.


These awards are: Law Enforcement Unit of the Year, Small Law Enforcement Unit of the Year (10 Officers or less), Officer of the Year and Citizen of the Year.


The nominations must be for events and/or actions that occurred during the calendar year 2022.


The awards will be presented by the Executive Board of the MNOA on behalf of the membership at the Annual MNOA Conference Banquet held the evening of March 30, 2023.


You do not have to be a member of the MNOA to make a nomination or win an award.


The criteria for Both of the Law Enforcement Unit of the Year categories is exemplary performance by a unit resulting in positive impact on the community or the law enforcement profession.


For Officer of the Year the criteria is an exceptional act of valor and/or exceptional dedication to duty.


The Citizen of the Year should be someone who has demonstrated, through act or deed, support for law enforcement or their fellow man that is above and beyond what one would expect.


All nominations should be as detailed as possible and include any supporting documentation. The award recipients will be selected based upon the material submitted, so please be sure the information provided is both accurate and complete to enable the Awards Selection Committee to select the best candidates. 


Nominations must be postmarked no later than February 24, 2023 and can be emailed to pointman4dsf@aol.com (by Feb 24, 2023) or mailed to MNOA Awards, Post Office Box 14, Clever, MO 65631. Late nominations will not be considered. If emailed and you don’t receive a confirmation please call Frank Till at 816-262-4778.
